The color sorter can be used not only for the separation of agricultural products, but also for the separation of non-metallic ores, such as potassium feldspar, barite, quartz sand, fused quartz, calcium carbonate, white jadeite, calcite, tungsten ore, phosphate ore and so on.
Taking potassium feldspar and quartz sand as examples, the application of color sorter in non-metallic ore weight is introduced.
The mixture of potassium feldspar and quartz is used as the separation object. Potassium feldspar has the characteristics of fleshy red, quartz has the obvious difference of transparent or milky self-color, and potassium feldspar color sorter is used for separation.
With potassium feldspar as the separation target, the particle size of the ore is controlled at 3-10 mm, and a separation threshold is set for separation. Through the determination of potassium feldspar and potassium grade is done before and after separation by potassium feldspar color sorter, the potassium feldspar enrichment ratio is 1.3, and 35% waste rock is thrown away, which has a good separation effect.
2. Application of quartz color sorter in quartz sorting
In quartz sand raw ore, the pure quartz sand is white or milky white, and the color of iron-containing impurities or gangue minerals is yellowish, light yellow or light brown and gray. The color difference between quartz sand and iron-containing impurities or gangue minerals is the key to color separation.
