How to Select Ore Colur Separator

Ore color separator is usually composed of four parts: feeding system, irradiation and detection system, information processing system and separation execution system. The stability of its performance directly affects the production and benefit of users.

There are three main working indexes of color sorting machine for Barite: processing capacity, selection rate and stripping ratio. In daily production, these three indicators are one and indispensable. They are all key indicators and must be examined at the same time.

Processing capacity is the amount of material that can be processed per hour. In addition to the different configuration and structure of recognition system of the color sorting machine for Barite , there is also an important factor affecting the size of the processing capacity, which is the specifications. At the same time, the processing capacity is closely related to the variety of raw materials, the proportion of impurities and the required selection accuracy.

Selection rate refers to the percentage of impurities selected from the original stone to the total amount of impurities contained, also known as color separation accuracy. The main factors affecting the selection rate are the flow rate and the type or performance of the color sorter.

Generally speaking, the use of CCD mode is higher than that of silicon photovoltaic cell mode, and the use of double-selection structure is better than that of single-selection structure. The selection rate of double-color separator equipped with CCD sensor technology can reach over 99%, while the common barite separator equipped with traditional sensor for primary color selection can hardly reach the calibration target in actual production. In addition, the selection rate is also affected by the lead-out ratio.

The stripping ratio refers to the ratio of the amount of impurities in the waste selected by the color separator to the normal ore. The level of the strip-out ratio can be set, generally about 1:3-1:5. If the ratio is too high, it will affect the selection rate and processing capacity. If the ratio is too low, it will cause waste. If the ratio is too low, it will need to invest a certain amount of manpower and material resources, which will cause a lot of trouble and economic losses.

In addition, equipment failure rate, after-sales service, price and so on should also be considered when choosing color sorting machine for Barite.
